Linkin Park Celebrates 25th Anniversary of ‘Hybrid Theory

Linkin Park has released a video to celebrate the 25th anniversary of their iconic debut album, *Hybrid Theory*. “It’s a big day,” says Mike Shinoda, the band’s co-vocalist and multi-instrumentalist, in the clip.

*Hybrid Theory*, which came out on October 24, 2000, became a defining album of the late ’90s and early 2000s nu metal scene. It features hit songs like “In the End,” “One Step Closer,” and “Crawling.” The album is certified Diamond by the RIAA, meaning it has sold over 10 million copies.

In the video, Shinoda expresses gratitude to fans: “Thank you so much for all of your support along the way. Whether you joined back in 2000 or came along later, we are really grateful for the ride we’ve been on. It’s amazing to still be out there playing shows and making new music.”

After *Hybrid Theory*, Linkin Park continued to explore nu metal with their 2003 album, *Meteora*, before branching out into various genres in their later work. Their last album with frontman Chester Bennington, *One More Light*, was released in 2017, shortly before his tragic passing.

After a hiatus, Linkin Park announced their return in 2024 with new vocalist Emily Armstrong and released their latest album, *From Zero*. Fans are excited to see what’s next for the band!
