Linkin Park’s ‘Meteora’ Certified Diamond by RIAA

The 2003 release marks the band’s second album to reach 10 million units in the United States.

The Recording Industry Association of America certified Linkin Park’s 2003 album Meteora diamond on Oct. 5, according to PRP. Reaching the 10 million album-equivalent unit threshold makes Meteora the band’s second diamond-certified album in the United States, following their debut record, Hybrid Theory. Released in March 2003, Meteora spawned five singles: “Numb,” “Somewhere I Belong,” “Faint,” “Breaking the Habit,” and “From the Inside.”

The achievement adds to a series of recent milestones for the group, following the 2024 release of their album From Zero and a world tour that grossed $251 million across approximately 2.2 million tickets sold. Additionally, “Bleed It Out” recently became the band’s ninth track to pass 1 billion streams on a single platform, joining Meteora tracks “Numb,” “Faint,” and “Somewhere I Belong.”
