Alice in Chains’ William DuVall has teamed up with Metal Allegiance for a new song called “Black Horizon.” The band features Mike Portnoy from Dream Theater on drums, Alex Skolnick from Testament on guitar, and bassist Mark Menghi.
DuVall expressed his excitement about being part of the project, saying, “I was pleasantly surprised and absolutely honored to be asked to contribute to this song and I’m very happy with the result.” Portnoy also shared his enthusiasm, stating, “After having recorded these drum tracks some time ago, I’m stoked that they finally get to see the light of day! Thanks to William for finishing it up for us and welcome to the MA family!”
Fans can check out the “Black Horizon” lyric video on YouTube. This isn’t DuVall’s first collaboration with Menghi; they previously worked together on a cover of Soundgarden’s “Rusty Cage” for the King Ultramega project, which paid tribute to the late Chris Cornell.
