Lzzy Hale, the lead singer of Halestorm, has released a new cover of Soundgarden’s “Loud Love.” This track is part of the King Ultramega project, led by Mark Menghi from Metal Allegiance, to honor the late Chris Cornell. The project also features Testament guitarist Alex Skolnick and original Pearl Jam drummer Dave Krusen.
In a statement, Hale expressed her admiration for Cornell, saying, “I feel like I’m always learning something from Chris.” She mentioned how she discovers new meanings in his lyrics and is inspired by his unique vocal style. Hale appreciates the authenticity in Cornell’s music, noting that it can’t be taught.
