System of a Down singer Serj Tankian teamed up with electronic musician and producer Brendan Angelides to cover David Bowie’s “I’m Afraid of Americans.” The version is inspired by Trent Reznor’s remix of the 1997 single. Angelides says he loved Reznor’s take and began singing the lyrics as he built a new beat. He reached out to Serj, who agreed to collaborate. The cover will be on Angelides’ new album, Can You Feel the End Begin?, out Aug. 14.
