Today Live Nation announced they have hired Jay Byrd as the newest Global Tour Promoter to be added to their Concerts team as they continue to manage a growing pipeline of tours. In his new role, Jay will be responsible for several existing tours with some of today’s top artists including Lil Baby, A$AP Rocky, Logic and more, as well as building new relationships with artists and booking tours across North America as well as major international tours around the world.
Jay started his career in 2006 in the William Morris Agency mailroom and worked his way to Agent, handling their entire Adult Contemporary roster for the west coast as well as western Canada, generating millions in annual booking revenue for the company. In 2015, he moved over to CAA where he worked with artists including Lil Wayne, Common, Jason Derulo, Queen Latifah, Corinne Bailey Rae, Lukas Graham and Jon Batiste, among many others. Byrd oversaw David Blaine’s first national tour, Anita Baker’s sold out arena run and Las Vegas residency and was an integral part of the launch of Bottlerock’s first year. In addition, he has been a part of Billboard’s Hip-Hop Power Player list.
Jay will work alongside Live Nation’s existing promoter team to continue to best serve artists as they ready themselves to go on tour throughout the globe.
