Lollapalooza: Over 30 Years of Iconic Headliners and Notable Performers

Lollapalooza kicked off on July 18, 1991, as a farewell tour for Jane’s Addiction. Since then, it has had an interesting journey. The festival ran from 1991 to 1997, was revived in 2003, canceled in 2004, and has been going strong since 2005.

Perry Farrell, the frontman of Jane’s Addiction and the festival’s founder, shared his vision for Lollapalooza. He wanted to blend different elements of music, art, and lifestyle into something special. He felt the name “Lollapalooza” perfectly captured that idea.

Looking ahead to Lollapalooza 2025, the lineup is set to be diverse and exciting. The festival will take place from July 31 to August 3, featuring headliners like Tyler, The Creator, Luke Combs, Olivia Rodrigo, Korn, Rufus Du Sol, Twice, Sabrina Carpenter, and A$AP Rocky. Other notable acts include Grace Abrams, Dom Dolla, Cage The Elephant, DJO, Bleachers, Wallows, Doechii, Clairo, Young Miko, and Martin Garrix.
