Ariana Madix will return as host for the new season following strong viewership numbers for season 8.
Peacock has officially renewed the reality dating competition series Love Island USA for a ninth season. Emmy nominee Ariana Madix is set to return as host for season 9, which will once again follow singles looking for love in a Fijian villa. The renewal comes after season 8 concluded its run on July 12, crowning Trinity Tatum and Bryce Dettloff as the winners.
Ahead of the ninth season, Peacock will air the Love Island USA season 8 reunion special on Aug. 31. Co-hosted by Madix and Andy Cohen, the special will gather the season’s winners, fan-favorite couples, and bombshells to recap their experience. A newly released trailer for the reunion features contestants including Aniya Harvey, Carl Schmidt, Melanie Moreno, Sincere Rhea, Kayda Bosse, Zach Georgiou, Kenzie Annis, and Jenn Terry. According to Peacock and Nielsen data, season 8 premiered on June 2 and garnered 19 billion minutes of views, becoming the top streaming reality title for six consecutive weeks.
