“Country Song Came On,” the new single from country superstar Luke Bryan, is impacting country radio this week. “Wasn’t gonna let the bar twist my arm, but I’m helpless in a honky tonk,” Bryan sings on the chorus. “Said I wasn’t gonna drink, and then a country song came on.” Written by Ryan Beaver, Dan Alley, and Neil Medley, the stripped-down “Country Song Came On” is the latest single from Bryan’s album Mind of a Country Boy, following “Love You, Miss You, Mean It,” which recently became his 31st country No. 1 hit.

The new single is not Bryan’s only big debut of the week. He’s hosting the new docuseries It’s All Country, premiering this Friday, Nov. 15 on Hulu. In each episode, Bryan will show viewers the untold stories behind their favorite country songs. The series features exclusive performances and interviews from stars including Mickey Guyton, Kane Brown, Wynonna Judd, Lady A, and Luke Combs. The final episode of the season, centering on Sheryl Crow, also features a new generation of country stars including Shaboozey, whose “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” is in the midst of an historic run atop the Billboard Hot 100. It’s All Country marks 100 years since the first country record was made.

Bryan and Peyton Manning, via his company Omaha Productions, are among the executive producers for It’s All Country. It’s not the only partnership between the two stars coming up soon. They’ll once again join forces to host the 58th Annual CMA Awards alongside Lainey Wilson. The show will air live from Nashville on Wednesday, Nov. 20 on ABC, as well as on Hulu the next day.

Further down the calendar, Bryan will return as a judge for the new season of American Idol premiering March 9, 2025 on ABC. “I truly love getting to know these kids,” Bryan says, “mentoring them and hopefully releasing them to build careers of their own.”
