Lykke Li has just released a new song titled “Sick of Love,” which is part of her upcoming album, The Afterparty. In this track, she paints a picture of being alone at the end of a party while everyone else is cleaning up. “It’s this moment of complete humiliation, and you’re trying to be strong,” Li shared. She added that writing the lyrics was a fun experience that made her laugh a lot.
The Afterparty is set to drop on May 8 and follows her 2022 album, EYEYE. Along with “Sick of Love,” the new album will feature songs like “Lucky Again” and “Knife in the Heart.”
Fans can catch Lykke Li performing at Coachella this Friday.
