In 2024, Hale and Skid Row had an amazing time together on tour. The Halestorm singer shared her experience in a recent interview, revealing that despite their ages, everyone felt like a bunch of fifteen-year-old boys on the inside. “The fart jokes were rampant,” she laughed.
But the fun didn’t stop there. As expected on a rock tour, they also made plenty of jokes inspired by *This is Spinal Tap*. One recurring joke was about the catering meat. “They said the meat is so sweaty,” Hale recalled. “I don’t know why it was so funny, but it became a dirtier joke as we went along. I’m really grateful they welcomed me into their group.”
Hale admitted she was nervous before the first show, but by the second show, she felt more at ease. It was during the third show that she really started to have fun and take some creative liberties with Skid Row’s songs. She specifically mentioned “Quicksand Jesus,” saying, “Snake played his usual guitar part, and I would imitate it with my voice. He looked panicked and played even more.”
After the show, Snake approached her, and she thought she might be in trouble. Instead, he gave her a big hug and said, “I have never gotten to improv with any of my singers.” That moment meant a lot to her, and she will cherish it forever.
