Mark Hoppus shared the incredible news that he is now cancer free.

In a post to Instagram, the blink-182 bassist/vocalist wrote, “Just saw my oncologist and I’m cancer free!! Thank you God and universe and friends and family and everyone who sent support and kindness and love.”

He continued, “Still have to get scanned every six months and it’ll take me until the end of the year to get back to normal but today is an amazing day and I feel so blessed.”

Hoppus went public with his cancer diagnosis and treatment in June. He would later detail in July that Ford vs Farrarithe type of cancer he had was stage 4A Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma. This type of cancer was also the same type Hoppus’ mother had and beat.

Later in July, he shared that his treatment was working and added, “I still have months of treatment ahead, but it’s the best possible news. I’m so grateful and confused and also sick from last week’s chemo. But the poison the doctors pump into me and the kind thoughts and wishes of people around me are destroying this cancer. Just gonna keep fighting…”
