Mark Hoppus Tries to Buy Blink-182 Tickets, Fails

Blink-182 fans were on cloud nine when they learned that Tom DeLonge was back with the group, not only for a major tour on the way but also with the promise of a new album.

When it comes to that worldwide tour, though, some fans are frustrated over the high cost and complicated process of purchasing tickets. As it turns out, Mark Hoppus is frustrated, too.

In a message posted to his Discord server, Hoppus wrote, “Yes I understand that the ticketing can be frustrating. I bought tickets for two of our shows myself just to see what the experience was like. I had tickets yoinked from my cart and the whole thing crash out. Dynamic pricing.”

He added, “I’m not in charge of it. It’s meant to discourage scalpers. We’re trying to bring you the best possible show for the best price. This is a tour celebrating new music and the band getting back together. Thank you for your enthusiasm and I hope to see all of you at the shows.”

Blink-182 Reunites with Tom DeLonge, Fans Are Feeling This

Blink-182 has made it official: Tom DeLonge is back, new music is on the way and they’re hitting the road for a massive tour.

The trio announced the news via the video below in which they confirmed: “They’re coming.” (Get it?) Oh, and a new studio album is also coming with the first single, “Edging,” due out this Friday, October 14 and is available for pre-save/pre-add here. (Call it a hunch, but I don’t think the song is about lawn maintenance.)

As for their tour, tickets go on sale to the general public on Monday, October 17 at 10 AM local time. In addition to their own headlining reunion tour, blink-182 will be hitting up a number of festivals including Lollapalooza in Argentina and Brazil and 2023’s When We Were Young. A full list of tour dates is below.

As expected, the loyal blink fanbase collectively lost their minds when all of this news is confirmed. You can see their joy in all its glory in the tweets below.
