The Sex Pistols are back with exciting news for fans! Marshall has just announced a limited-edition JCM800 Half Stack amp inspired by the legendary punk band. This new amp is a tribute to the sound and attitude that made the Sex Pistols iconic in the music world.
Steph Carter, Marshall’s culture marketing director, shared, “The JCM800 became a defining voice of British punk. Working with [Pistols guitarist] Steve [Jones] to reimagine this amp for the band’s 50th anniversary has been a powerful tribute to the sound that changed everything.”
Steve Jones himself added, “I’ve been using Marshall for a long time now, and the 800 series for me are my workhorse — always reliable, always consistent. I like to keep things simple; as the saying goes, it’s only rock ‘n’ roll.”
The new amp will be available for purchase starting Friday. For more details, check out Marshall.com.
In other news, the Sex Pistols reformed in 2024 with original members Steve Jones, Paul Cook, and Glen Matlock, along with vocalist Frank Carter, who replaced John “Johnny Rotten” Lydon. They are set to kick off a U.S. tour in 2026, which was postponed from 2025 due to Jones breaking his wrist. Fans are eagerly awaiting their return to the stage!
