Brann Dailor, the drummer and vocalist of Mastodon, has released a new song titled “Exodus of Gravity” with his synth-driven side project, Arcadea. This track is the title song from the upcoming Arcadea album, which follows their 2017 self-titled debut.
Dailor shared his vision for the new music, saying, “The object was to get a little more dancey and a little more fun.” He explained that while he enjoyed the progressive sound of the last Arcadea album, he wanted to try something different. This time, he focused on groove, dance, and embracing electronic elements.
The album, “The Exodus of Gravity,” is set to be released on August 22. It will also feature the previously released track “Fuzzy Planet.”
Meanwhile, Mastodon’s latest album, “Hushed and Grim,” came out in 2021. The band has been working on new music since the departure of founding guitarist Brent Hinds in March. Keep an eye out for more updates from both Mastodon and Arcadea!
