McDonald’s McNugget Caviar Kits: Luxury Collab or Viral Hoax?

Last week, we shared the buzz about McDonald’s new McNugget Caviar Kits for Valentine’s Day. Many fans were excited to try caviar with their McNuggets. But when it was time to order online, things didn’t go as planned. The McNugget Caviar Kits sold out almost instantly, causing the website to crash.

The kits were available for free starting February 10 at 11 a.m., and a countdown on the site built up the hype. However, when the clock hit zero, many users were met with an “HTTP Error 429” message. Within just 10 minutes, the caviar was completely gone. The overwhelming demand led to the website crashing as so many people tried to get their hands on the kits.

McDonald’s mentioned there would be a limit on the number of kits, but they didn’t specify how many were available. Now, if you check the McNugget Caviar website, it shows a “Sold Out” message. They said, “Unfortunately, our McNugget® Caviar was everyone’s Valentine this year, and has flown off the shelves. However, you can elevate your McNuggets® with our sweet and spicy Hot Honey sauce for a limited time. Try it today at your local McDonald’s.”

Many took to social media, expressing disbelief that the deal was real. One user exclaimed, “There is no way it was sold out! This is a hot mess! This has to be a scam.” We don’t know how many people actually got the kits, but we’re waiting to see who shares their experience online. Were you one of the lucky ones? Let us know!
