Ozzy Osbourne sadly passed away in July, just weeks after his final show with Black Sabbath. This loss hit the metal community hard. Even though he had been battling Parkinson’s disease, his energy at the last concert surprised many fans.
In a touching tribute, Judas Priest has released a new song featuring Ozzy. This classic track is available now, and all profits will go to The Glenn Tipton Parkinson’s Foundation and Cure Parkinson’s. Glenn Tipton, a member of Judas Priest, has also faced Parkinson’s, making this project even more meaningful.
“This emotionally charged release brings together the legends of British heavy metal one last time,” a statement about the collaboration reads. It highlights the friendship and shared mission of both bands to fight Parkinson’s disease.
Fans are loving this collaboration. Comments on social media reflect the excitement: “It’s a great performance, and I love listening to it,” one fan wrote. Another called it the “Metal song of 2025.” Many have praised it as a fantastic tribute, with one fan saying, “Incredible performance, guys.”
So, how did this single come to be? Initially, it was meant to be a tribute video for Ozzy and Black Sabbath after Judas Priest couldn’t join them at a show due to prior commitments. The project quickly evolved into a charity single, which resonated with Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne.
Glenn Tipton contributed guitars to the track, adding a special touch. Both Judas Priest vocalist Rob Halford and Ozzy sing on the song, creating a spectacular result.
Ozzy’s passing has been felt deeply across the music world. It’s poignant that he left us just weeks after performing with his Black Sabbath bandmates in Birmingham on July 5, 2025, for a charity event supporting Cure Parkinson’s, Birmingham Children’s Hospital, and Acorns Children’s Hospice.
