Metallica Announces 2026 Residency at Las Vegas Sphere: Official Details Inside

After months of speculation, it’s official: Metallica is set to take over the Sphere in Las Vegas. Their residency, titled “Life Burns Faster,” will kick off in October 2026 with eight shows throughout the month. The dates are October 1, 3, 15, 17, 22, 24, 29, and 31. True to their style, Metallica will bring back the No Repeat Weekend format from their M72 World Tour, meaning each Thursday and Saturday night will feature a different setlist. If you want the full experience, you’ll need to attend both shows.

Tickets go on sale March 6 at 10 a.m. PT, with options for two-night packages and single-night tickets. There will also be presales, travel packages, and VIP extras available.

Metallica has spent over 40 years evolving and expanding their reach. From small clubs to massive stadiums, they’ve played for millions around the world. Their M72 tour alone attracted over four million fans since spring 2023. The production is known for being intense and immersive, featuring a 360-degree stage and a powerful sound system.

The Sphere is a unique venue designed to enhance the concert experience. With its LED wrap and advanced audio technology, it creates an atmosphere that feels otherworldly. Lars Ulrich mentioned that after experiencing U2’s show there in 2023, they knew they had to perform at the Sphere.

Expect to hear classic hits along with some surprises. “Life Burns Faster” isn’t just a title; it’s a reminder that Metallica’s music endures. With eight nights and no repeats, fans are encouraged to bring earplugs and plan to catch both shows. This residency is produced by Live Nation, offering fans a chance to see a legendary band that continues to push boundaries.
