The band performed “Devil’s Dance” for the first time since 2008 during their “No Repeat” residency.
Metallica returned to the Sphere in Las Vegas on Oct. 3 for the second show of their “Life Burns Faster” residency, fulfilling their promise of a “No Repeat” setlist. The 18-song performance featured the return of “Devil’s Dance” from 1997’s Reload, which the band had not played live since 2008. The deep cut was performed early in the show following “Leper Messiah” and “Fuel.”
The Oct. 3 concert opened with “Blackened,” marking the first time Metallica used the song as an opener since 2014. The setlist also featured the return of Load closer “The Outlaw Torn” for the first time since 2019, an instrumental jam by Kirk Hammett and Robert Trujillo, and signature tracks including “The Unforgiven,” “For Whom the Bell Tolls,” “One,” and “Enter Sandman.”
