Mick Jagger Pays Tribute to Prince Philip

Mick Jagger has taken to social media to pay tribute to Prince Philip, who passed away today (April 9) at age 99.

Jagger wrote, “I’m very saddened to hear of the passing of HRH Prince Philip Duke of Edinburgh-alongside his extensive charitable work he was a very active patron of many of the sports organisations my father worked for & helped so many young sports men and women. He will be fondly remembered.”

Prince Philip’s death was confirmed via a Royal statement which read, “It is with deep sorrow that Her Majesty The Queen announces the death of her beloved husband, His Royal Highness Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. His Royal Highness passed away peacefully this morning at Windsor Castle. Further announcements will be made in due course. The Royal Family join with people around the world in mourning his loss.”
