Mickey Guyton has released a new song from her upcoming Christmas album. Titled “Sugar Cookie,” this fun track celebrates holiday love and will be featured on her first full-length holiday album, Feels Like Christmas, set to drop on October 24 via MCA. In the song, she sings, “Like a Christmas sweater. When we bake together. Everything is merry and bright.” The song comes with a festive visualizer.
Last year, Guyton released her second album, House on Fire, which includes hits like “Scary Love,” “Make It Me,” and “My Side of the Country.” She also collaborated with Kane Brown on “Nothing Compares To You.” Guyton made history with her debut album, Remember Her Name, becoming the first Black artist nominated for a Grammy for Best Country Album. The title track earned her additional nominations for Best Country Song and Best Country Solo Performance.
In March, she covered Ringo Starr’s “You Don’t Know Me at All,” which she first performed at a special concert in Nashville. Recently, she joined stars like Joni Mitchell and Billie Eilish to honor Cyndi Lauper in a CBS special, performing Lauper’s song “Who Let In The Rain.”
This fall and winter, Guyton will be on tour, starting October 10 in Saint Paul, MN, and will perform at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, TN. She will also appear in the Hallmark movie A Grand Ole Opry Christmas, inspired by her song “Heaven Down Here.”
