Mike D, a member of the Beastie Boys, has announced his first solo album titled Thank You, set to release on August 28. The album features previously released tracks “Switch Up” and “What We Got,” along with a new song called “True Colors,” which is available now.
In a statement, Mike expressed his excitement about creating music with people he cares about. He hopes listeners find joy in the album, especially in today’s challenging world, where art and emotions can often be overlooked.
Thank You is the first full-length album from a Beastie Boy in 15 years, following the group’s disbandment in 2012 after Adam “MCA” Yauch’s passing.
