Morgan Wallen Shares New Song ‘Lies Lies Lies’

Morgan Wallen has shared a new song, “Lies Lies Lies,” via Big Loud/Mercury/Republic. Recorded at Abbey Road’s Studio Two during a 2023 session just after his sold-out show at the O2 Arena, he debuted a live version of the song on March 3 as part of his Abbey Road Sessions series. The song was written by Jessie Jo Dillon, Josh Miller, Daniel Ross, and Chris Tompkins. Joey Moi produced.

Since its March 3 soft launch, “Lies Lies Lies” has become a highly-anticipated part of his One Night At A Time tour set list. The tour supports his third studio album One Thing At A Time, a 5x platinum record that spent over a full year (53 weeks) atop Billboard’s Country Albums chart. The album was nominated for Album of the Year at the 2024 ACM Awards, where Wallen received six total nominations, including for entertainer of the year and artist-songwriter of the year.

“Lies Lies Lies” arrives just a day after Wallen performed his first-ever BST Hyde Park headlining set in London on July 4. Another of his recent tracks “I Had Some Help” with Post Malone just spent its sixth week atop the Billboard Hot 100, making the song the longest-standing No. 1 hit this year. “I Had Some Help” is also the fastest-climbing No. 1 hit on Billboard’s Country Airplay charts since Garth Brooks’ 2007 classic “More Than A Memory.” Massive charting placements and streaming numbers have been a hallmark of Wallen’s career through multiple album cycles now—in 2021, his second record Dangerous: The Double Album, earned the biggest-ever streaming total debut for a country album.
