Mother Love Bone, the iconic grunge band, is reissuing two of their classic releases. Their 1989 EP, *Shine*, and their 1990 debut album, *Apple*, will be available again on CD and vinyl starting September 26. The CD versions will feature exclusive bonus tracks.
Fronted by Andrew Wood, Mother Love Bone included future Pearl Jam members Stone Gossard and Jeff Ament. Tragically, Wood passed away in March 1990 at just 24 years old, just months before *Apple* was released, which marked the end of the band.
Wood’s death had a significant impact on the music scene. It inspired Chris Cornell of Soundgarden to create the band Temple of the Dog. This group also featured Gossard, Ament, Pearl Jam’s Mike McCready, and Soundgarden drummer Matt Cameron.
Fans of grunge and rock music will want to grab these reissues to celebrate the legacy of Mother Love Bone.
