Mötley Crüe Bassist Nikki Sixx Dismisses Retirement Rumors Following Las Vegas Concerts

Nikki Sixx responded to rumors about Mötley Crüe’s future on October 4. Fans speculated that their recent shows in Las Vegas might be the band’s last. When one fan suggested this could be the end, Sixx quickly replied on X, saying, “Whoa, slow down. We never said that.”

Back in 2015, Mötley Crüe signed a Cessation of Touring agreement, claiming they were done touring. But seven years later, they co-headlined The Stadium Tour and The World Tour with Def Leppard. They also played at several music festivals, entertaining tens of thousands of fans each night. Sixx admitted, “We were wrong in retiring, obviously.”

The band just finished their Las Vegas residency at Dolby Live at Park MGM. From September 12 to October 3, they delivered three weeks of high-energy performances. Each night, the excitement in the venue was electric.

John 5 has taken over guitar duties after Mick Mars stepped back from touring. The new lineup hasn’t slowed them down. They continue to fill venues around the world with no signs of stopping. In Las Vegas, fans packed in at 7:00 p.m., and by 8:00 p.m., the venue was alive with Mötley Crüe’s iconic sound. The fixed location allowed them to create a massive show that was even more powerful than their usual tours.

Live Nation supports the band’s future plans, listing upcoming tour dates and a new album. This shows that Mötley Crüe isn’t ready to hang up their instruments just yet. The Vegas residency was just one stop on their busy schedule.
