Mötley Crüe is set to kick off their Las Vegas residency this Friday at Dolby Live at Park MGM. Originally planned for March, the launch was delayed due to frontman Vince Neil’s health issues. In a recent interview, Neil shared that he suffered a stroke the day after Christmas, which affected his left side. He explained that the stroke occurred while he was sleeping.
Neil had to relearn how to walk, a challenging process. Doctors were unsure if he would return to the stage, but Neil was determined. “I said, ‘No, no, I’m gonna do it. Watch and see,’” he recalled.
His recovery involved months of physical therapy at home in Nashville. He described the journey, saying, “I went from people carrying me to the bathroom to finally using a wheelchair. Then I graduated to a walker, and then a cane. Now I don’t need anything.” He emphasized that getting back to feeling good was like a full-time job.
Mötley Crüe’s residency includes 10 shows and runs through October 3. For a complete list of dates, check out their official website. Fans can look forward to an exciting return to the stage!
