Today sees the release of VOYAGER (BMG), the 13th studio album from multi-platinum rock band 311 – click HERE to listen.
The band, who are currently headlining a 34-date amphitheater tour, will celebrate VOYAGER’s release by partnering with YouTube for a free HD livestream of tomorrow night’s show at KeyBank Pavilion in PA.
Produced by 311 by way of a unique collaboration with YouTube, award-winning production company 7 Cinematics and live download site Nugs.net, this special global event is a must-watch, multi-angle high definition shoot captured by 6 cameras and viewable via the band’s YouTube and Facebook pages and at Nugs.net.
“We wish all of our family, friends and fans around the world could join us in-person for a special evening celebrating the release of the new album,” says vocalist Nick Hexum. “Since that’s not possible, we’re doing the next best thing and bringing the show to everyone.”
The quintet (Hexum, co-vocalist S.A. Martinez, guitarist Tim Mahoney, bassist P-Nut and drummer Chad Sexton) have been giving fans a sneak peek of VOYAGER by releasing five songs in advance of the album’s release, including “Space and Time,” “Good Feeling,” “Don’t You Worry,” “Crossfire” and “What The?!”
VOYAGER features 13 new songs – four of which were recorded with Grammy-nominated producer John Feldmann (Blink-182, Panic! At the Disco) and nine of which were recorded with Scotch Ralston, who produced 311 albums Transistor, Soundsystem and Stereolithic. The album was mixed by Grammy winner Neal Avron (Weezer, Twenty One Pilots, Linkin Park).
VOYAGER is the second consecutive 311 album to feature production work by both Feldmann and Ralston following 2017’s Mosaic, which entered The Billboard 200 at No. 6, making it the band’s 10th straight Top 10 album.
$1 from every ticket sold on the current tour will go towards two charity organizations: VH1 Save The Music Foundation helping kids, schools, and communities realize their full potential through the power of making music and NRDC and their work to safeguard the earth – its people, its plants and animals, and the natural systems on which all life depends. www.savethemusic.org / www.nrdc.org / www.plus1.org
