Nikki Sixx Isn’t as Fazed as Motley Crue Fans for Not Being in Rock Hall

Motley Crue is one of many artists that have been eligible for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame but still have yet to be nominated. Fans of the band are annoyed by this, but Nikki Sixx is rather zen about it all.

A fan recently replied to a tweet by the Crue bassist/songwriter saying, “Sixx, it’s complete bullsh-t you guys are not in the Rock & Roll HOF. Those that vote for that are complete a–holes.”

Sixx then retweeted the fan’s comment and added, “People get so worked up. It’s just an award.” He continued, “We’re in it for the music. If stuff gets awarded it’s cool, but it’s not why we’re in a band. It’s all good. Appreciate the support.”

Some of Motley Crue’s contemporaries have been inducted into the Rock Hall in recent years. Their current tourmates Def Leppard were inducted in 2019. Bon Jovi was inducted in 2018, and Guns N’ Roses was inducted in their first year of eligibility in 2012.
