Nine Inch Nails have released the video for “As Alive as You Need Me to Be,” the first single from their upcoming soundtrack for the movie *Tron: Ares*. The black-and-white video features close-ups of frontman Trent Reznor’s face, surrounded by disembodied hands. Directed by Maxime Quoilin, the visuals reflect the song’s theme of pressure, highlighted by the lyric “All these hands have got a hold of me.”
You can now watch the “As Alive as You Need Me to Be” video on YouTube. The *Tron: Ares* soundtrack is set to drop on September 19, just ahead of the film’s release on October 10. While Reznor has collaborated with his bandmate Atticus Ross on many film scores, this soundtrack is being promoted as a Nine Inch Nails project.
Currently, Nine Inch Nails are on the U.S. leg of their Peel It Back world tour, with their next show scheduled for Wednesday in New York City. Fans can look forward to both the new music and the upcoming tour dates!
