Noah Kahan rewrites his new song alongside a group of 7-year-olds on ‘Celebrity Substitute’

Noah Kahan took on the role of a teacher in the digital series “Celebrity Substitute,” and the experience led to a fresh version of his unreleased song. Although he has performed “Deny Deny Deny” live, it hasn’t been officially released yet. In this episode, Noah, known as “Mr. Noah,” engages a third-grade class at PS 15 in New York City by asking them what inspires them. He then uses their ideas to create a new song titled “Sky Sky Sky.”

In this playful rendition, Noah and the kids sing about everyday topics like homework, pets, beaches, vacations, and watching TV. The catchy chorus goes: “We can go outside when the sun is out and it’s fine/ you know today is all mine/ We can lay on our back, look at the sky, sky, sky.” One girl in the class remarked, “Mr. Noah’s a good teacher, ’cause he’s funny,” while another shared, “I became less shy today.”

The episode also features Noah playing his song “Stick Season,” with a fun twist—he changes the word “alcohol” to “applesauce.” The kids were curious, asking if he owns a mansion or knows Billie Eilish, to which he answered “no” to both. This lighthearted interaction showcases Noah’s charm and connection with his young audience.
