Noel Gallagher and Ozzy Osbourne were celebrated at the 2026 BRIT Awards, the U.K.’s version of the Grammys. Noel, the guitarist from Oasis, won the Songwriter of the Year award, even though he hasn’t released a new song in the past year. His reunion tour with brother Liam Gallagher in 2025 made a big impact. In his acceptance speech, Noel thanked Liam and the rest of Oasis for bringing their classic songs to life.
Ozzy Osbourne was honored posthumously with the BRIT Lifetime Achievement Award. The ceremony featured a special performance of “No More Tears,” with Ozzy’s band members, including Metallica’s bassist Robert Trujillo, guitarist Zakk Wylde, keyboardist Adam Wakeman, and drummer Tommy Clufetos. English pop star Robbie Williams led the performance.
Other winners of the night included Sam Fender, who took home awards for Alternative/Rock Act and Song of the Year for his collaboration with Olivia Dean on “Rein Me In.” Wolf Alice won Group of the Year, while Lola Young was named Breakthrough Artist and Geese won International Group.
Wolf Alice also performed, along with sombr, who had a surprising moment when a fan rushed the stage during his set. However, a representative confirmed that the incident was staged and part of the show.
