2026 is shaping up to be a busy year for Extreme. Guitarist Nuno Bettencourt recently shared a photo from the studio, hinting that the band is working on their seventh studio album. He captioned the photo “DAY 1,” showing him relaxing with his feet on a recording console.
Extreme’s last album, *Six*, was released in 2023. Fans are curious if the new album will be called *Seven*.
Bettencourt had a packed 2025, performing at the Back to the Beginning concert. He also joined Yungblud and Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler and Joe Perry at the MTV Video Music Awards to pay tribute to the late Ozzy Osbourne.
