Producer Steven Knight has announced that the documentary for the Oasis Live ’25 reunion tour will feature rehearsals, meetings, and concerts from the band’s comeback in 2025. Knight described it as a “documentary with a plot,” focusing on the Gallagher brothers’ return after their split in 2009. “It’s phenomenal,” he said, adding that they are working to trim the film down to a shorter runtime from its current four hours.
The documentary is directed by Dylan Southern and Will Lovelace, known for their work on LCD Soundsystem’s concert film, Shut Up and Play the Hits, and the 2022 documentary, Meet Me in the Bathroom. Knight’s team gained access to the band before the tour kicked off in July 2025. Cameras followed Liam and Noel Gallagher during rehearsals and captured candid backstage moments. “I interviewed them, and they’re just one quote after another; they’re so funny,” Knight shared.
The Live ’25 tour marked Oasis’s return after 16 years, starting in Cardiff on July 4, 2025. The tour traveled through the US, Canada, Mexico, South Korea, Japan, Australia, Argentina, Chile, and Brazil, with the final show taking place in São Paulo in November 2025. The band’s breakup in 2009 was famously marked by a backstage fight at Rock en Seine in Paris.
Producers are also inviting fans to share personal stories related to Oasis’s songs, which may be included in the final cut of the film. As of now, there is no release date for the documentary, but fans are eagerly waiting for more updates.
