Oasis has released a statement expressing their sadness over the death of a fan during their recent shows at Wembley Stadium in London. The band said, “We are shocked and saddened to hear of the tragic death of a fan at the show on Saturday. Oasis extends our sincere condolences to the family and friends of the person involved.”
Wembley Stadium officials reported that medics, the London Ambulance Service, and police responded to an incident involving a concertgoer who had injuries consistent with a fall. Despite their efforts, the fan sadly passed away. The statement added, “Our thoughts go out to his family, who have been informed and are being supported by specially trained police officers. The police have asked anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward.”
Oasis is currently on their reunion tour, marking the first time the Gallagher brothers have performed together since 2009. The tour continues this Friday in Scotland and will head to North America starting August 24 in Toronto.
