LSU gymnast Olivia Dunne knows how to get her brand out there. The 20-year-old New Jersey native is the highest-paid female college athlete, using her name, image and likeness (NIL) to score endorsement deals that bring in tons of revenue. She’s also been featured in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit edition and a bevy of other magazines. Now, Dunne’s business know-how has scored her a feature with Forbes, including a photo spread. A new Olivia Dunne photo spread always bring some excitement, right?
Dunne appears in the magazine, along with a photoshoot and interview. In the interview, Dunne, who has almost 8 million followers on TikTok, talked about how she became such a viral sensation. She gives some of her secrets, too. “I will say it’s a little bit of everything,” she said in the magazine, when about what defines the Olivia Dunne brand. “It’s my lifestyle. It’s fashion, it’s fitness, it’s friends and fun.”
Dunne also said that she thinks her down-to-earth posts are what make her connect with fans. She says that in addition to her glamorous life, she’s just a college student. She goes to class, she does to the gym and she does her student athletics. In other words, this makes her seem very real and approachable, which makes people want to follow her.
Dunne also talked about how her life has dramatically changed since the NIL rule change. She says it’s for the better, but that the whole thing has been a “whirlwind.” Now, Dunne is also looking to the future. She knows that when he’s out of college, she’ll still have her band and a way to make income using her incredible influence. She already has ideas for her own brand of merchandise, such as fashion or an app or workout gear. It’s still in the beginning stages, but she has time to figure all of that out. After all, she’s not even 21 yet. Check out photos below.
