Sharon Osbourne attended Metallica’s London show on Sunday. It was the one-year anniversary of the Back to the Beginning concert, held July 5, 2025. That show was the final live performance by the original Black Sabbath lineup with Ozzy Osbourne. Ozzy died on July 22, 2025.
Back to the Beginning also featured big names like Metallica, Guns N’ Roses, Tool, Slayer and Pantera. At the London show, Metallica met Sharon and her daughter Kelly Osbourne backstage. Photos of the meeting are on Metallica’s Instagram. The band captioned the post, “One year after ‘Back to the Beginning,’ we were thrilled to see some familiar faces for #M72London. We miss you, Ozzy!”
Metallica also honored Ozzy on stage. During Robert Trujillo and Kirk Hammett’s “Doodle” segment, they played Black Sabbath’s “Electric Funeral.” Fans at the show gave it a warm response.
