Ozzfest Going Virtual Via Metaverse Music Festival

Ozzfest, the famed metal festival founded by Sharon Osbourne, will be resurrected as part of the upcoming Metaverse Music Festival.

Per a number of outlets — including Loudwire and Classic Rock — Ozzy is booked for the second installment of the virtual festival, which takes place in Decentraland, a blockchain virtual world. According to the event’s listing, “Set in an otherworldly cyberpunk landscape being reclaimed by nature, the Festival will feature 15 uniquely designed stages that will see performances from 100+ musical artists from across a wide variety of genres, as well as new interactive experiences.”

Details about the Ozzfest portion of the Metaverse Music Festival are scarce, but more acts are expected to be announced in the coming days.

The Metaverse Music Festival 2022 takes place November 10-13. Complete details can be found at Decentraland.org.
