Ozzy Osbourne Hometown Exhibit Extended Due to High Demand

A new museum exhibit celebrating Ozzy Osbourne has been extended after the heavy metal legend’s passing on July 22. “Ozzy Osbourne: Working Class Hero” opened on June 25 at the Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery, originally set to close in September. Due to popular demand, the exhibit will now stay open until January 18, 2026.

The exhibit launched to coincide with Black Sabbath’s homecoming show at Villa Park on July 5, which turned out to be Ozzy’s final concert. It showcases his solo career, featuring awards, photos, and videos that highlight his journey to fame, along with Platinum and Gold discs.

Zak Mensah and Sara Wajid, co-chief executives of Birmingham Museums Trust, expressed their excitement about the extension. They noted the overwhelming public response, showing the deep love and respect for Ozzy from fans in Birmingham and beyond. Since opening, over 96,000 visitors have explored the exhibit.
