Ozzy Osbourne opened up about his upcoming neck surgery, which he referred to as his “final surgery.”

The Prince of Darkness touched on his ongoing health issues in the second episode of The Osbournes podcast. Ozzy says he just can’t do the surgeries anymore and seems overall just fed up with going under the knife.

Despite being over surgery, he doesn’t seem nervous about it saying, “It’s all right. It’s just like going over for a f—ing haircut now.”

On the previous episode of The Osbournes podcast, Ozzy said, “My lower back is, I’m going for an epidural soon because what’s happening, what they’ve discovered is the neck has been fixed, below the neck there’s two vertebrae where the bike hit me and disintegrated, there’s nothing left of ’em. All I know is right now, I’m in a lot of pain, I’m in a lot of discomfort.”

Ozzy’s health issues over the past five years have been numerous and severe. Ozzy underwent spine and neck surgery in 2019 after he fell in his home in Los Angeles and aggravated old injuries he sustained from his 2003 ATV accident that nearly ended his life. The fall was so bad at one point doctors thought Ozzy would never walk again.

Ozzy said in an interview with U.K.’s The Sun published in August 2022 about the spine and neck surgery, “I was told, ‘You’ve got a good chance of being paralyzed for the rest of your life.’ You just don’t expect the surgeon to be a f—ing butcher. I was left in agony.”

Wife/manager Sharon Osbourne said to Rolling Stone in September 2022, “We’re going to sue. You just don’t want other people to go through what you’ve gone through.”

Unfortunately, Ozzy’s health issues have put a stop to him performing. In February, he officially canceled all remaining tour dates, citing how he’s physically unable to tour anymore.

Additionally, he backed out of the one-off October rock event Power Trip back in July. He said, in part, in a statement, “Unfortunately, my body is telling me that I’m just not ready yet and I am much too proud to have the first show that I do in nearly five years be half-assed.”
