Parkway Drive singer posts video statement about drummer’s brother admitting guilt in underage sex crime

Parkway Drive frontman Winston McCall has released a video statement about a former member of the band, Jed Gordon, who recently pleaded guilty to an underage sex offense from 2002. In the video, McCall names Gordon, who was the band’s merch manager and is the brother of drummer Ben Gordon.

“First and foremost, we support the victim,” McCall says. “She deserves justice and to be heard.” He adds, “We condemn this without hesitation. If our first statement left any doubt, let me be clear: this is unacceptable.”

Parkway Drive worked with Jed Gordon starting in 2003. In their earlier statement, the band mentioned that he hadn’t toured with them since 2017 but had been part of their online merchandise team in Australia. McCall acknowledges, “We employed him for a long time and put him in a position where he had contact with many people. It’s our responsibility to address this.”

He admits that the band was aware Gordon could be difficult but insists they were unaware of the severity of his actions. “We’ve been completely blindsided by this,” McCall says. He also apologizes to anyone who felt their initial response was “cold,” emphasizing that this situation is heartbreaking.

McCall’s message aims to connect with fans and show the band’s commitment to supporting the victim and addressing the issue seriously.
