A new live album featuring Paul Di’Anno has been announced to coincide with the upcoming documentary, “Di’Anno: Iron Maiden’s Lost Singer.” The album was recorded in 2022 in Croatia and will be released on June 26. Fans can already listen to a live version of the Iron Maiden classic “Phantom of the Opera,” which is included in the album. This song first appeared on Iron Maiden’s self-titled debut album in 1980.
Di’Anno was the lead singer for Iron Maiden on their first two albums, “Iron Maiden” and “Killers,” before leaving the band. He was succeeded by Bruce Dickinson, who is the current frontman. The documentary, set to release on June 9 on Blu-ray, DVD, and digital platforms, features interviews with notable musicians, including Maiden’s bassist Steve Harris, Metallica’s James Hetfield, and KISS’ Gene Simmons.
Paul Di’Anno passed away in 2024 at the age of 66. He will be honored posthumously with an induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame alongside Iron Maiden as part of the 2026 class.
