Paul McCartney: Ranking His 50 Greatest Songs After The Beatles

If Paul McCartney had decided to retire after the Beatles split, no one would have blamed him. After all, how do you follow a band that transformed music and culture for nearly a decade? But McCartney didn’t stop there. Over the years, he has remained a powerful force in music. In the ’70s, he ruled the airwaves with Wings. He was a familiar face on MTV in its early days and has teamed up with stars like Kanye West, Rihanna, and the surviving members of Nirvana, as well as legends like Diana Krall, David Gilmour, and Stevie Wonder.

McCartney has also created memorable theme songs for films and has explored various musical styles, from rock and pop to classical and experimental electronic music under the name The Fireman. He continues to release new music at an impressive rate, as if he still has something to prove. During the pandemic, he embraced his solo artist side, playing all the instruments on his album, except for one track, “Slidin’,” which was started earlier.

Now in his 80s, Sir Paul is still touring in North America. He loves performing live, sounds fantastic, and continues to attract huge crowds. Why stop now?

It was tough to pick, but here are some of Paul’s best songs since the Beatles:

50. “Find My Way” – From his 2020 album McCartney III, this track showcases his solo talents during the pandemic.

49. “Calico Skies” – A beautiful acoustic song from 1997’s Flaming Pie, it starts as a love song but shifts to a message of hope and resilience.

Stay tuned for more of McCartney’s incredible music!
