Pavement is launching a new streaming service called Pavements+, focused entirely on content related to the band. This unique platform promises to be the first of its kind, offering fans a dedicated space for all things Pavement.
According to a press release, Pavements+ will exclusively stream the film “Pavements,” which explores the band in a way that is both intriguing and complex. The service will also feature bonus content that fans have never seen before, including new features, archival footage, rehearsal clips, and even some unexpected moments, like a camera left rolling for 47 minutes.
Guitarist Scott “Spiral Stairs” Kannberg commented on the crowded streaming landscape, saying, “We noticed there were too many streaming services, so we made another one.”
While the announcement comes on April 1, it’s unclear if this is an April Fools’ joke. However, fans can still watch the Pavements movie on the band’s website and the Altavod platform.
In addition to the streaming news, Pavement will return to select arthouse theaters on April 18 to celebrate Record Store Day. Fans can also look forward to seeing the band live on tour starting in July.
