The bassist and his brother Barry Ament will host events across the U.S. and London following the book’s September 25 release.
Pearl Jam bassist and co-founding member Jeff Ament and his brother, designer Barry Ament, are launching a nine-stop book tour to mark the September 25 release of Jeff’s upcoming visual memoir, Since Forever. The tour features two appearances at California’s Ohana Festival, two events in Seattle, and stops in Chicago, New York City, Boston, Philadelphia, and London. At each stop, the brothers will join a guest moderator to discuss the project’s creation and share photographs from the book. The tour is scheduled to wrap up on November 12 in London.
The 9-by-12-inch hardcover visual memoir features more than 250 black-and-white photographs detailing Pearl Jam’s formative years, with most images spanning from 1990 to 1998. Roughly 90 percent of the photos have never been publicly seen, offering a look at the band on the road, backstage, in the studio, and in quieter moments. The project originally began as an effort between the brothers to preserve aging negatives. Pre-orders are currently available, and the book will also be sold at select independent bookstores.
