Pentatonix is getting into the holiday spirit with their new album, Christmas In The City, set to release on October 24. This Grammy-winning vocal group’s latest project features 16 tracks that celebrate the magic of Christmas in New York, mixing holiday classics with new original songs.
They’ve already given fans a taste of the album with their new single, “Bah Humbug.” Mitch Grassi, the group’s tenor, explained that the song tells the story of A Christmas Carol in a fun and theatrical way. He loves how each member gets to shine individually, making the arrangement unique and creative.
Christmas In The City is Pentatonix’s eighth holiday album and their 13th overall, following last year’s Holidays Around the World. The album includes collaborations with artists like Meghan Trainor, Lea Salonga, and The King’s Singers. It has also earned a Grammy nomination for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album. Earlier this year, they released The Greatest Christmas Hits compilation, featuring the single “Please Santa Please.” Last year, they wrote the title track for Netflix’s holiday rom-com, Meet Me Next Christmas.
Pentatonix will also be hitting the road for their annual holiday tour, starting on November 8 in West Valley City, Utah. The tour will stop in cities like St. Louis, Detroit, and New York, wrapping up with two shows in Fort Worth, TX, on December 21 and 22. Beatboxer Kevin Olusola promises a night filled with holiday hits, theatrical magic, and nostalgic sounds.
