Peter Criss, the founding drummer of KISS, is set to make a special appearance at Rock City Music Company in Livonia, Michigan, for a meet-and-greet on April 24 and 25. This marks his first visit to Detroit in over 20 years!
The two-day event celebrates the release of Criss’s first solo album since 2007. The album, which came out last December, was co-produced by Criss and Barry Pointer. Pointer has an impressive resume, having worked with artists like Ozzy Osbourne, MÖTLEY CRÜE, and Dolly Parton.
In a recent post, Peter Criss shared his excitement: “I am excited to announce that I will be at Rock City Music Company on April 24th and 25th for a 2-day, fun-filled event. See you all soon!”
The album features talented musicians, including Billy Sheehan and Matthew Montgomery on bass, John 5 and Mike McLaughlin on guitar, and Paul Shaffer on piano. Backing vocals were provided by Dennis and Sharon Collins, along with Cat Manning from CAT 5.
Known as The Catman of KISS, Criss played a key role in shaping the band’s legendary sound. He sang lead on several hits, including the classic “Beth.” After leaving KISS in 1980, he reunited with the band in the 1990s and again in 2004, with Eric Singer taking over as drummer.
Please note that the meet-and-greet has limited spots available for both days. Tickets and event details can be found on the Rock City Music Company website. Don’t miss this chance to meet a rock legend!
