Pharrell Williams’ ‘In My Mind’ Arrives On Limited Edition Vinyl

Interscope Records has selected Pharrell Williams’ 2006 album In My Mind as their December 2024 pick for the Interscope Vinyl Collective program. The album—Williams’ solo debut—is being issued in a two-LP package, with one orchid and one baby blue record, as well as new custom artwork for the release. It is limited to 3000 copies.

In My Mind heralded Pharrell’s arrival as a true solo talent. That being said, he did get some pretty big assists on the album. The LP opens with “Can I Have It Like That” featuring Gwen Stefani, an artist who collaborated heavily with Williams on both her 2004 album Love. Angel. Music. Baby. and her 2006 album The Sweet Escape. Likewise, frequent collaborator Jay-Z also shows up on In My Mind for the track “Young Girl”/”I Really Like You,” and Snoop Dogg, who most famously worked with Pharrell on “Drop It Like It’s Hot,” is here with Charlie Wilson on the track “That Girl.” Other featured artists on the album include Slim Thug, Pusha T, and Nelly.

Long before the release of In My Mind, Pharrell had been busily making a name for himself, initially as a producer in The Neptunes with his musical partner Chad Hugo. As The Neptunes, they produced hits for major stars like Britney Spears, Jay-Z, Kelis, and Justin Timberlake. Williams also quickly started gaining name recognition of his own, contributing vocals for the former two artists. His 2003 debut single, “Frontin,’” peaked in the top ten of the Billboard Hot 100.

Order In My Mind via the Interscope Vinyl Collective.
