Phoebe Bridgers returned to The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon for a second surprise performance this week. She first showed up unannounced Tuesday to give the TV debut of her new single, “Lost Boys.” On Wednesday she played a stripped-down acoustic version of the song.
For Tuesday’s spot Bridgers was backed by a band of children. On Wednesday she performed with veteran musicians. The acoustic take quiets the bridge — Bridgers whispers the “one, two, three” line instead of the scream heard on the original.
You can find the official acoustic studio version of “Lost Boys” on digital music platforms. The song is the lead single from her upcoming third album, Lost Weekend, due Aug. 14. Bridgers also launches a sold-out U.S. arena tour in September.
