Masked artist President has released a new song called “dark heaven” from the upcoming album Blood of Your Empire. President says the song looks at the contradictions of faith and how belief can be used to justify division, violence and power. He adds it’s not an attack on belief, but a search for something real when certainty falls apart.
A visualizer for “dark heaven” is on YouTube. It shows fans reacting at a private listening event.
Blood of Your Empire, President’s full-length debut, is due Sept. 4. The album also includes previously released tracks “Angel Wings,” “DOOM LOOP” and “Mercy.”
President will start a U.S. tour in September.
