Queen mentioned earlier this year they had been working on a new song with Adam Lambert, but it appears that work has come to a halt.

Roger Taylor said in a new interview with MOJO (as transcribed by Classic Rock), “Brian [May] suddenly lost interest and I don’t really know why. We started it in Nashville when we were all quite tired. We couldn’t decide on a title and the lyric felt a little too negative for Queen, maybe. But it was pretty damn good, and I hope it comes to light.”

May and Taylor said of this new track with Lambert in a February interview with Classic Rock, “We did record a song which we haven’t actually finished. I can’t remember what it’s called. I think we were still discussing what we should call it.”

May added, “It was a song that we’d tried to adapt that had come from a friend. It had the makings of being a great song, but we couldn’t crack it. We couldn’t get there.”

In October 2020, Queen released their first title with Lambert, a live album called Live Around The World. The live release highlighted the band’s favorite performances as chosen by them from over 200 concerts all over the world during their time together.
